About Me

I'm Clay, a technologist based in Queensland, Australia. I run a home AI lab called REX — a Windows 11 machine hosting a fleet of Hyper-V VMs, backed by a Juniper virtual-chassis core switch, an OPNsense firewall, and a growing collection of self-hosted AI services.

This blog is where I document what I build and learn — including the parts that turned out to be wrong. Topics include local LLM inference, network automation via MCP servers, running agents against real infrastructure, and the occasional Roblox art project.

• Local inference: vLLM in WSL2 serving Gemma4-26B on an RTX 5090
• Network: Juniper EX3400 virtual chassis core, OPNsense firewall, Aruba 7010 wireless controller, Synology NAS
• Cloud: GCP — private and public LiteLLM proxies, Vertex AI for Claude & Gemini, WireGuard site-to-site VPN
• AI Agents: Claude Code, Antigravity and Gemini CLI, Homer (Hermes Agent) on local-only inference, six custom MCP servers
